A Few Simple Posing Tips

Emily has been doing some gorgeous pamper session portraits, and every time the final products are seen by her clients, they can't believe it's them! Take it from me, a pamper session client myself, what Emily does with a camera is unreal. Somehow, getting your hair and makeup done and dressing up in fancy clothes unlocks your inner sexy. In my case, as the mother of two crazy toddlers, it was my inner-inner-inner sexy.

Anyway, if you're interested in taking photos ever, which is basically everybody, here are a handful of posing tips to get your subjects "best side". As any photographer worth their beans knows, there are no not photogenic people (sorry, double negative), there are only badly posed people.

This lovely lady is Emily's niece, and we sort of cheated with this example, because she looks beautiful pretty much all the time!
